Industrial Chic Pop Funk Wedding
When Chelsea, the bride, had to decide on a DJ she knew it would be Michael. She works at SkyBox Event Productions and had worked with him on several weddings. He knew what a compliment it was to be selected as their DJ since she, as a wedding professional herself, had met and worked with so many.
As they went about planning their destination wedding in San Diego at The Brick at Liberty Station Sean and Chelsea envisioned a hip, creative, and fun wedding. When they discussed the music they both entrusted Michael with the list. They knew he wouldn’t disappoint since Chelsea had worked with him so much before. They only wanted to be sure that their guests had the time of their life and the opportunity to dance to their hearts’ content.
As Michael and his associate DJ, Matthew, drove from Orange County to San Diego Sean called to see if they could add some Taylor Swift songs because he heard the bridal party singing to them earlier that day. Michael, never one to disappoint, made sure the last minute request was executed.
SkyBox Event Productions transformed the venue to reflect the personalities of Chelsea and Sean and Michael added to that ambiance by choosing a wide range of music ranging from Funk, 90’s Hip-hop and R&B, Pop, and even the perfect T-Swift songs. Their friends, family, and co-workers from Disney and Target were a fun bunch to keep on the dance floor. Sean and Chelsea are craft beer enthusiasts as well so they served an array of local craft beers from San Diego and Orange County. The night was a huge success and we loved being a part of it.
**DJ tip--When Sean called Michael with a special request to play a few last minute songs, Michael had to download and and listen to the songs during the setup. But instead of simply playing the songs, Michael had to make sure that the song fit the mood of the crowd and then played it when it was appropriate.**
